Siemens PLM Connection 2021 (15. - 16. Juni, Online):

Digitalisierung der Entwicklungsumgebung/ -prozesse bei Montblanc

  Abstract

PLM Europe 2017 (23rd to 25th October, Berlin):

  PLM Access Management by BSH

  Abstract

BSH managed to consolidate 27 development sites with 2 Databases (PDM, ADM) each into 1 central PLM Platform. Having all product data in one place is a massive achievement but managing the access to the data was a challenge in terms of supporting business processes and granting or revoking access privileges without paying the price on system usability and performance.
This case study will explain and demonstrate how BSH planned and implemented a PLM Access Management using existing technologies in Teamcenter with configuration and customization.
It will be highlighted how the main pillars - Business Data Model, Organization, Projects and Process Definitions - have been tight together in order to provide a reliable and performant Access Control Concept to a single source of product data embedded in BSH infrastructure. Examples will outline where access management supports business process requirements.

PLM Europe 2011 (17th to 19th October, Linz):

Enforcing standards to improve data and process quality

  Abstract

Automation is a key to manage increasing complexity of processes. But the outcome of processes can only be as good as the input... Defining standards is the base to address the challenge. But how to obey standards on a day to day base? A utility is needed that checks standards and helps users to prepare data to comply with them. On top of that: validation needs to be integrated into the processes and managed with Teamcenter. This case study will highlight how the enforcement of M-CAD standards is implemented at BSH in a managed NX environment. It will be shown how to use a generic approach with NX Check-Mate to serve a divers field of application. Emphasis will be put on part classification, automatic and interactive correction of data and how to deal with "acceptable" violation of standards. Examples will be outlined where enforcement of standards will leads to better data quality and therefore process improvement.

WTG Webinar 2010 (7th October, Internet):

How can PLM support your business?

  Abstract

PLM has moved away from the traditional role of engineering data management and is now considered a strategic total business support tool, capable of unlocking information and integrating it across the entire value chain.
We ask, do we now need to review the definition of PLM in order to understand it’s complex relationship in and around business.
During this live webinar we will be looking at:
- Core drivers of PLM
- The areas where PLM can make a difference within the business environment
- The prerequisites to an efficient PLM platform
Practical examples will underpin above bullets

PLM Europe 2008 (5th to 7th October, Paris):

Case Study: Secure deployment of PLM client applications

  Abstract

Research and Development is becoming more and more distributed and mobile. Authoring applications like NX and TC Engineering still need client applications on workstations and notebooks, which may be distributed across the enterprise.
Now a days it is more difficult to deploy specific and compatible versions of clients, especially when they need to be synchronized with server updates.
A special configuration customization needs to be in place as mobile engineers often require administration rights on their computers to maintain special applications, other than NX or TC Engineering.
This presentation will explain and demonstrate the feasibility of protecting configuration and customization of PLM applications in large scale, distributed industry environments
